resulting in telekinetic, pyrokinetic and telepathic abilities allowing
her to implant subtle mental suggestions in other's minds. This
ability extends to causing narcosis in animals and mentally inferior
humans. Excellent hand-to-hand combatant. Note: Abilities are displayed as part of a multiple-personality disorder. The "Mary" personality is physically fragile, sickly and prone to epilepsy and other neurological disorders. The "Typhoid" personality is rebellious, malevolent, murderous and takes on different physical attributes such as an erratic heartbeat, alpha biorhythms, smell and an elevated body temperature. These physical attributes appear to have no negative effects. The "Bloody" personality is homicidally psychotic and has greater control over her mental abilities, but has rarely manifest herself. |

her psychosis as an infant, Mary Walker had been institutionalized from an
early age, split between two distinct personalities, one sickly and introverted
the other hyper-healthy and extraverted. Although the dominant
personality was aware of her split-personality disorder, the introverted
personality was not, and was manipulated by her darker persona. Eventually escaping the institution, all record of Walker was lost until she reappeared as a stage actress in Chicago. She abruptly disappeared and reappeared in New York's Hell's Kitchen as a vigilante criminal. Raiding drug and gambling dens she robbed and often killed her criminal victims. Her activities brought her notice by the Kingpin, who instead of having her hunted and killed, hired her to emotionally destroy his arch-nemesis Daredevil. Conflicted between her desires, Mary's personality became more unstable and was eventually captured and institutionalized by Daredevil. She eventually escaped again and continues her struggle with her enemies and herself as Typhoid Mary. |
