Origin |
A mutant with the psychic power to drain the lives of others, Selene has
lived for over 17,000 years. Selene's primitive tribe recognized her
as a god and sacrificed their lived to feed her hunger for psychic energy.
Settling in the ancient city of Rome during the height of its empire,
Selene conspired to drain the city of its life energies in a quest to rule
the world, but her plot was discovered and halted.
In the modern era
Selene was discovered living in a Romanesque civilization hidden in the
Amazon jungles of South America. After a confrontation with the
New Mutants she made her way to New York City, joining the
Hellfire Club as the Black Queen. |
