| Maximus Boltagon's parents were two of Attilan's top geneticists: Agon, head of the ruling Council of Genetics, and Rynda, director of the Prenatal Care Center. Subjected to the mutagenic Terrigen Mists as an infant, Maximus' mutation was not outwardly evident because he manifest powers of the mind, a secret he kept for many years until he attempted to usurp his brother Black Bolt's coronation to the royal throne. Maximus treachery lead to an injury which affected his sanity, the death of his parents, and made him an outcast amongst the Inhumans. | |
