In an alternate future the alien scavengers known as the Badoon invaded
Earth's solar system. Computer technician Michael Korvac betrayed
humanity and joined with the Badoon, who transformed him into a cyborg. Transported through time to participate in a contest of chance orchestrated by the Elder of the Universe known as the Grandmaster, Korvac was able to absorb a portion of the universal elder's cosmic powers make himself more powerful. In a quest for more power Korvac sought out Galactus' space station. Scanning the immense vessel in an attempt to download knowledge, Korvac was instead imbued with the Power Cosmic gaining god-like powers. |
