gypsy from Romania, Sybil Dvorak's mutant ability manifest as a
child. In her late teens she fell in
love with a handsome middle-aged American actor who was staring in a
remake of Dracula. Seduced, she
moved to Hollywood and became the actor's private mistress. The glamour
and excitement of American faded as her lover spent more time away from
home with other women. Bitter, Dvorak used her powers to weave a costume with wings, as a disguise, and scoured the haunts of the rich and famous for her errant lover. Mending her relationship with her lover she eventually gained an American citizenship and inherited his home and wealth after his death, using them to create a hedonistic cult that worshiped her as their queen, the Gypsy Moth. |
