Like those of all the Elders of the Universe, En Dwi Gast's origin is lost to the sands of time.  It is known that he is one of the oldest living beings in the universe, and like his fellow Elders the sole survivor of the first few intelligent races to have evolved after the creation of the universe.

His race as well as the galaxy it sprang from are now long dead, En Dwi Gast lives for the pursuit of amusement through gamesmanship, traveling throughout the universe studying and mastering the games of many civilizations until has become their Grandmaster.
