Rās
al Ghūl, Nyssa Raatko
was born in Russia during the 18th
Century. Raatko joined her father's crusade to rid the world of its
excess population, until she was mortally wounded - necessitating her
immersion in a life preserving Lazarus Pit. During World War II, Nyssa witnessed her children's slaughter and was interned in a concentration camp. She came into conflict with her father when he refused to help stop the Nazis, believing that their holocaust would ultimately serve his goals. Nyssa and Rās al Ghūl were reunited decades after the war when he needed her assistance in in preserving his life. Nyssa refused and turned against her father. Recruiting her sister Talia, they killed their father, only to discover that it was his plan all along to forge Nyssa into his successor as the leader of the League of Assassins. |
