| Origin | |
| Hank Hall (Hawk I) and his
brother Don (Dove I) were chosen by the Lords of Order and Chaos to act as
heroes on Earth. Each of the brothers powers embodying one side of
their eternal duality; aggressive and impulsive Hawk embodied chaos, while
the passive and reasoned Dove embodied order. When Dove died, Hawk completely lost control, and was only passive when the lords of order designated a new Dove, Dawn Granger. She was killed by a future incarnation of Hawk, who in turn killed the murderer. The irony of Dove's death was that Hawk went completely insane becoming her murderer, Monarch. |
