| Origin | ||
| Convinced that unfit mutants were a threat to the future of mutant-kind, the geneticist Mr. Sinister had the thief Gambit recruit an army of mutants with the intention of destroying those he deemed unfit. Their first target was a community of mutants living in the sewers of New York known as the Morlocks. After massacring the Morlocks, Sinister's assassins continued his mission; plaguing the mutant community as the merciless Marauders. | ||
