| In a
ploy to other throw the governments of the world
General Wade Eiling
created a military force of metahumans, under false pretenses of national
security, known as the Ultramarines. Brainwashed into believing the Justice League were traitors, the Ultramarines were sent on a mission to kill the heroes. While the Ultramarines were battling the Justice League, Eiling was completing his plans by transferring his conscious into the indestructible body of the Shaggy Man. Overcoming their mental conditioning the Ultramarines joined forces with the Justice League and defeated the General by teleporting him to distant asteroid, where he could no longer menace the Earth. The Ultramarines resolved to fight the battles that others could not and declared themselves a sovereign nation on their floating city of Superbia. |
