T.H.U.N.D.E.R.
Agents Vol. 1 #1 (Nov. 1965) Note: T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents was originally published by Tower Comics, which cancelled its entire superhero line of comics in 1969. The characters were sold to JC Productions in the 1980's, which published the characters through Archie Comics. JC Productions had trouble with their legal council, who desired to publish the characters himself claiming the copyright was invalid and that the characters were part of the public domain, an act which resulted in other publishers attempting to produce T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents comics. The copyright to T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents was eventually acquired by DC Comics. |

| Origin | ||
| Counter
attacking an assault on a remote mountain lab by the forces of the
Warlord, a United Nations team discovers the body of Professor Jennings
and his amazing inventions; an Electron Molecular Intensifier Belt capable
of turning a human body to the density of steel,
a Light Polarizer Cloak capable of rendering the wearer invisible to the
naked eye, and a cybernetic helmet capable of granting the mental powers
of telepathy and telekinesis. Selected from the best of the United Nations agents, initially three men were granted these devices to become the superhuman T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. |
