| Origin | |
| Concerned
with the numerous meta-human heroes in the west, the Soviet Union created
an additional program to protect against this perceived threat. Their initial forays into genetic manipulation were unsuccessful until they were assisted by the Green Lantern Kilowog, who originating from a planet where the inhabitants share minds, had a sympathy for the ideals of communism. With Kilowog's knowledge of genetics and advanced technology the Soviets were able to create the armored Rocket Red Brigade. |
