Nathan
Grey was born in an
alternate timeline in which
Apocalypse
had conquered
North America. Grey was cloned by Apocalypse's horseman,
Mr.
Sinister, from the genetic material of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean
Grey (Phoenix II). Born and raised in Sinister's slave pens he
was released years later by Cyclops, who had turned against
Sinister. Grey joined the mutant engineer
Forge, who led a traveling
band of performers secretly conducting guerrilla warfare on Apocalypse's
minions in the American Midwest. Journeying to Apocalypse's Citadel, Grey fought the horseman Holocaust. In an attempt to breach Holocaust's armor, he stabbed him with a shard of the mystical M'Krann Crystal. Both vanished, transporting Grey to the our Earth where he became the hero known as X-Man. |
