| Origin | |
| Believing herself to be
Aphrodite; born of the immoral flesh
of ancient gods and the foam of the sea stepping ashore fully
mature and in the flower of her beauty, in truth she was a monster created
to serve an ocean elemental of the deep that fed upon men. Using her
siren song the naiad lured sailors to their deaths - until a Chinese
expedition exploring the Moroccan cost for an enchanted artifact encountered
her song. Although one ship was lost, the second had aboard an
ancient and powerful sorcerer who instead of killing the deadly beauty
transformed the siren into a whole being with a soul as beautiful as her
physical form. Transformed from a force of nature into an individual who realized the horror of what she had done for countless centuries she wandered in despair until collapsing near a convent. Allowed to live with the nuns she was thought to be a miraculous gift for she didn't age in the two decades she was there. Believed to be mute until the day she was moved to sing with the choir profoundly effecting visiting clergy with feelings of ecstasy, she was shortly after asked to leave the nunnery. Now more sound of mind, the young woman subconsciously buried her history as a monster and drew conclusions about who she might be. Immortal, beautiful and affecting people with the power of 'love' the public and she soon began to believe her the goddess of love - Venus. |
