Jean-Paul Beaubier
was
orphaned and separated from his twin sister Jeanne-Marie as an infant. Beaubier's career as a champion snow skier brought him to the attention of the Canadian defense department, Department H, and he was contacted by James Hudson (Guardian I). Hudson had met Jeanne-Marie (Aurora) years earlier and when Jean-Paul learned he had a twin sister he could not resist joining Alpha Flight, assuming the name Northstar. |
