of human-Atlantian hybrid mutant with superhuman strength, speed, agility,
stamina, durability, ankle wings facilitating prolonged flight at 60 miles
per hour, capable of creating corrosive secretions through hands and
amphibian traits enabling ability to breath both water and air. Note: Prolonged periods out of water leave Namorita at about half her normal strength. Due to her hybrid physiology it is possible her mental faculties become erratic if she does not spend equal time on land and in the ocean. Normal Atlantians are unable to survive outside of the ocean for prolonged periods of time. |

Namora, the cousin of
Namor the Submariner, and a member of the royal family of Atlantis, was
unable to produce an heir to the throne due to her half Atlantian half
human hybrid genetics - which rendered her sterile. Persuading the
exiled Atlantian geneticist Vyrra to impregnate her with a cloned embryo
Namora gave birth to an apparently natural child. If the truth were
discovered there would be severe criminal penalties. Namora and her husband Talan raised their daughter for the first few years of her life in Lemeria. But the evil Llyra had Namora poisoned, and Talan killed. The young girl escaped and fled to her cousin Namor. The king of Atlantis adopted his cousin and she often joined him in his adventures as the avenging daughter, Namorita. |
