| Princess Lilandra Neramani
is the youngest of three siblings of the Shi'ar royal family. Her
eldest sister Cal'Syee (Deathbird) was denied ascension to the throne for
crimes committed against the state. The next in line was her brother D'Ken, who had plans to use an immensely powerful crystal called the
M'Kraan to increase his power, despite the dangers it posed to the entire
galaxy. Lilandra attempted to stop her brother, but was captured and ordered executed. Escaping the Emperor's wrath she made her way to Earth, where she had come in contact with Professor Charles Xavier (Professor X) via a mental link. Professor X agreed to have his students the X-Men join Lilandra against her brother and she ascended to the throne of the most powerful empire in the galaxy. |
