| Origin | ||
| A science prodigy, James
Hudson Jr. had invented a cybernetic helmet by the time he graduated
college. Using his technology in the field of petroleum exploration he
created a remote-controlled armored suit to bore through the earth.
Discovering that his employer intended to sell his inventions to the United
States military, Hudson quit and used the armored suit to orchestrate a
break-in to destroy his blueprints. Leaving the armor inoperable,
Hudson was able to eventually reclaim his inventions with the help of the
Canadian Government. Invited by the Canadian Prime Minster to create a new research and development arm of the Ministry of Defense, Hudson founded Department H. Perfecting his original designs, Hudson eventually created a steel-mesh uniform which could harness the power of Earth's electromagnetic field. Initially calling himself Weapon Alpha, Hudson eventually settled upon a name more in line with his role as Canada's Guardian. |
