Origin
An officer in the Xandarian Nova Corps, Pyreus Kril saw his commander Gabriel Lan abducted by Galactus, the devourer of worlds.  Lan was transformed into Galactus' herald Air-Walker.  Kril followed Air-Walker across the galaxy as he sought out new planets for his master Galactus to consume.  After years of service Air-Walker was struck down by a trap intended to slay Galactus.  Galactus transferred his herald's essence into a robotic copy, but the copy was not up to the task of the original.  Kril sought to fulfill his former commander's position as Galactus' herald and allowed himself to be transformed into the Firelord.
