| Origin | |
| Born
on the Ust-Ordynski Collective near Lake Baikal in Siberia, Piotr Rasputin's
mutant abilities emerged during adolescence. The kind-hearted
youngster was content simply to use his incredible strength and durability
to aid his fellow farmers, but the reality of a world on the brink of
genetic war would intrude on the simple life to which he had grown
accustomed. Recruited by Professor Charles Xavier to rescue his original students from the sentient island Krakoa, Piotr reluctantly agreed. Fighting alongside Xavier's other new recruits the battle was won. Remained in the United States with the X-Men, Rasputin took the codename Colossus. |
