| Origin | |
| A child protégé excelling in the study of science, Miguel O'Hara was accepted by the prestigious Alchemex corporate boarding school. After graduating, O'Hara resumed his relationship with Alchemex as a genetic engineer developing technology to create a new breed of corporate raiders with the ability to infiltrate any structure by scaling building walls. To insure O'Hara's continued employment, the head of Alchemex surreptitiously dosed him with a legal but highly addictive narcotic known as Rapture. Alchemex was the sole manufacturer of Rapture and O'Hara had no other source. To rid himself of the addiction O'Hara subjected himself to genetic manipulation, but a vengeful rival sought his death and added the formula intended for the corporate raiders. Instead of death the massive dose altered O'Hara's biology giving him spider-like abilities, which he used to battle against the evils of the futures as Spider-Man 2099. |
