| Born into a world were
mutants are outlawed, like all potential mutants Chad Channing's potential
was discovered early and he was marked with the registration tattoo 2099 and
administered suppression drugs to halt his mutation. In New York's subterranean underground Channing discovers a canister with the preserved brain of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic). Transferring Richards' brain into a cybernetic body resembling the Thing, he is able to assist Channing by providing him with a placebo drug allowing his mutation to manifest. Donning a disguise Channing now battles for brighter future as Mutant 2099. |
