| Origin | |
| In ancient times the
African spider god Anansi gave a man, Tantu, a totem to call upon the powers
of the animal kingdom to battle against evil. A descendent of Tantu, the Reverend Richard Jiwe, dedicated himself to using the totem to bring peace to Africa after his wife was killed by poachers. However Jiwe was killed by his half-brother General Maksai, who craved the totem's power. Jiwe's young daughter, Mari fled to America assuming a new name. As an adult she acquired the totem previously held by her uncle using its amazing powers as Vixen. |
