| Leonid Kovar and his
archeologist father were investigating the site of a 1908 meteor crash in
Russia's Yenesi River when they discovered the wreckage of an alien
spacecraft. Curious, the young Kovar ventured inside the craft and
began to experiment with the alien controls when a power surge irradiated
his body enhancing his physical abilities. Offering his services to
the Russian government he became a symbol of national pride codenamed
Starfire. In the waning years of the Soviet Union the communist government changed Kovar's code-name to the even more patriotic Red Star. |
