| Origin | |
| During
the 16th Century Ottoman Empire the Sultan Suleiman faced the forces of
the demon Etrigan. Guided by his mystical adviser Merloch, who
revealed himself to be Merlin, Suleiman hid his scimitar along with the
mystical Eternity Book within a Roman temple, ruins of an empire which
once ruled the region. The mystic bound the blade with a spell only
allowing one worthy of leading to pull the scimitar from the sand. Four hundred years later what was now called Izmit within the nation of Turkey was devastated by an earthquake. Assisting the emergency agency Red Crescent, Dr. Imdat Tolon discovered Suleiman's scimitar and the Eternity Book reading, "He who has the virtue to draw this blade from the sand shall guide this once great empire into a magnificent tomorrow." Taking the scimitar she was transformed into the Janissary. |
