| Chemically
enhanced super-human strength, speed, stamina and durability for the
duration of one hour enabled by the drug Miraclo. Possesses the
ability to randomly see one hour into the future. Note: Although Miraclo was designed to work only on the body chemistry of Rex Tyler, his son's physiology being similar allowed him to gain abilities from the chemical as well. Rick Tyler was diagnosed with leukemia which was believed to have been caused by the ingestion of Miraclo. The android Hourman III discovered Rick's condition had been misdiagnosed and matched no condition recorded in human history. To save Rick's life after his condition was accelerated by taking Miraclo, the android transported Rick to a temporal dimension known as the Timepoint, which repeatedly plays out the same moment in time. How he returned and was cured has yet to be revealed. |

| Origin | |
| Son
of the brilliant biochemist Rex Tyler (Hourman
I), Rick Tyler, although having an aptitude for science had no
interest in a career of medicine or chemistry, but instead wished to
become an artist. Though he would follow in his father's footsteps in a more unexpected way, that of a superhero. While father and son where visiting Los Angeles a series of earthquakes struck as a result of the Crisis of Infinite Earths, Rick ingested one of his father's Miraclo pills and later donned a costume. When many of Earth's heroes were without warning teleported aboard the Monitor's satellite to join in the battle against the Anti-Monitor, Rick rose to the occasion and fulfilled his father's duties as Hourman. |
