When two microscopic alien simians came to Earth they assumed that
chimpanzees were the dominant species, due to their resemblance to the alien
explorers. Attempting communication with a young African chimp their
spaceship was accidentally swallowed by the primate. Traveling through the
bloodstream to the brain the aliens used their technology to magnify the
ape’s intelligence to their own level. Eventually leaving the chimp’s
body the aliens returned to their home planet. With its newfound intelligence the chimpanzee was able to save an American scientist from his treacherous assistant. The grateful scientist brought the ape back to the United States where it was eventually left in the care of animal trainer Fred Thorpe. Amazed by the animal’s intelligence, Thorpe named the chimp Bobo and was able to teach it the skills of human society. After Thorpe was brutally murdered, Bobo was able to assist Sheriff Edward Case to apprehend the killers. Becoming the Sheriff’s constant companion, Bobo showed an affinity for solving crimes as the Detective Chimp. |
