| Origin | |
| Under the light of a newly discovered comet, Adam Blake was born to a farming couple in 1931. As he matured his mutation began to display itself in the form of an advanced intelligence. By adulthood he had mastered all of human knowledge, arts and athletics - keeping his special abilities a secret. Eventually he revealed his powers to physicist Emery Zackro, who determined that Blake was a mutant born with the abilities of a human that would live 100,000 years into the future. When the Earth was invaded by aliens from outer space, Blake donned an experimental spacesuit and helmet assuming the identity of Captain Comet. |
