| One
of many children of Zeus and Hera, Ares is reputed for his blood thirsty
quest for war. Aphrodite, the patron of the Amazons swore that her women would save the world with love from the hatred and warfare of Ares. It was the instigation of Ares that caused the exile of the Amazons to Paradise Island after instigating a battle between the women and the army of Hercules. Forever in conflict with the Amazons, Ares constantly strikes at the warrior women from his citadel, either through agents of evil or personally when necessary. |
