What Happened
The demon Neron tempts numerous villains with a simple deal: their souls in exchange for their hearts' desires.  Most of the villains choose power, making life difficult for Earth's heroes.

Neron's plan extends beyond just the corrupt souls of the villains, his ultimate quest is one pure soul which will be the key to all of Earth's souls.

While Earth's heroes battle their mystically augmented foes a team goes into Hell to challenge the demonic lord of the underworld.
