his career in journalism as a copyboy for the
Daily
Bugle, Ben Urich
worked his way to a position as a staff reporter. Although respected, his career was undistinguished, reporting primarily on petty and organized crime. Working the crime beat he became interested in the costumed vigilante known as Daredevil. Urich compiled information on Daredevil, revealing not only the crime-fighter's secret identity, but the course of events that lead to his abilities and career. Urich hesitated to make the information public, thus depriving the city of one of its greatest protectors. After meeting and assisting the vigilante on a case, he decided to destroy the information he had compiled. He would later reveal to Daredevil his knowledge and the two would build a bond working together to further each others' goals. |
