Origin
The origins of the Mindless Ones is unknown.  What is known of them is that they are a race apparently lacking any desire beyond destruction and will attack any living being - including one another. When King Olnar, the mystic ruler of the Dark Dimension, sought to expand his influence into other realms, he merged the Dread Dimension into his own and inherited the scourge of the Mindless Ones - a mistake which cost him his life, and treated the Dark Dimension.  The mystic siblings Dormammu and Umar halted the Mindless Ones by forming an impenetrable barrier around the mindless marauders.  Ruling with an iron fist, no one dared challenge the command of Dormammu, fearing that if the tyrant should fall so too would fall the barrier which protected the Dark Dimension from the Mindless Ones.
