| Origin | |
| Little is known of the
origin of the species known as the Brood. A savage insect
species they evolved upon a warm and lush tropical planet but soon spread
like parasites to other worlds within the bellies of great space-faring
whales known as Acanti. After an encounter with the Earth mutants known as the X-Men and their Shi'ar allies, the Brood's home world (for lack of a better name known as Broodworld) was destroyed, but their presence in the universe was well enough established that they continue to a threat to every species in which they come into contact. |
